DIABETES UK<\/h5>\n

Diabetes UK campaign with and for people with diabetes to ensure that everyone affected by the condition gets access to the best treatment and standards of care. This is every person\u2019s right, irrespective of their age, ethnic group, postcode, or type of diabetes.<\/p>\n

Diabetes UK lobby and brief key policy and government representatives and influential bodies across the world. We alert them to shortcomings in diabetes care, and urge them to make the necessary improvements in the commissioning and provision of diabetes care and treatment. Diabetes UK work with clinicians and people with diabetes to develop the 15 healthcare essentials (a set of essential checks and services based on national health recommendations). We have now distributed over 1.5 million 15 Healthcare Essentials checklists to people with diabetes, NHS trusts and healthcare professionals. In 2012 we made the checklist available in 12 languages and produced a ‘what to do next’ guide for those who aren’t receiving the basic level of care they’re entitled to.[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”normal” up=”30″ down=”30″][vc_single_image image=”306″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” qode_css_animation=””][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1561950047459{padding-top: 20px !important;}”]<\/p>\n

RED CROSS SOCIETY<\/h5>\n

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is the world’s largest humanitarian organization, providing assistance without discrimination as to nationality, race, religious beliefs, class or political opinions.<\/p>\n

Founded in 1919, the IFRC comprises 189 member Red Cross and Red Crescent National Societies, a secretariat in Geneva and more than 60 delegations strategically located to support activities around the world. There are more societies in formation. The Red Crescent is used in place of the Red Cross in many Islamic countries.<\/p>\n

The IFRC vision: To inspire, encourage, facilitate and promote at all times all forms of humanitarian activities by National Societies, with a view to preventing and alleviating human suffering, and thereby contributing to the maintenance and promotion of human dignity and peace in the world.<\/p>\n

The IFRC carries out relief operations to assist victims of disasters, and combines this with development work to strengthen the capacities of its member National Societies. SIGHT SAVERS<\/h5>\n

Every year, Sightsavers support their partners to carry out millions of eye examinations and refer people for treatment to prevent blindness and restore sight. Through community volunteers in developing countries, they enable the distribution of medication to prevent blinding diseases. Sightsavers fund operations for people who need them, and train eye care workers and surgeons.<\/p>\n

Sightsavers work with partners to train specialist teaching staff; supply glasses, Braille kits and other learning tools; and educate communities to reduce stigma around visual impairment and blindness. Because of Sightsavers, people who are visually impaired or have other disabilities are supported to live independently, get an education and earn an income.<\/p>\n

Sightsavers work with national governments, strengthening systems that tackle the problems at the root of avoidable blindness \u2013 the sorts of things most of us take for granted, like access to clean water, sanitation facilities and education. This N100,000 SIEO ACADEMIC GRANT is bestowed yearly to the best overall Student Sealord in any University.<\/p>\n

Entry time and date is published annually in February.<\/p>\n

By entering, Student has given all rights to organizers to approach university and verify all grades, Discipline and cumulative GPA\u2019s submitted and academic standing. Students MUST provide any or all other requested academic qualifications. Students must be in all ways, compliant to the dictates of Brothers Across Nigeria (BAN) or by any other name it is known.<\/p>\n

To qualify: YOU MUST HAVE AN AUTHENTICATED GPA OF 3.0 or higher in any discipline<\/p>\n

Only one award will be issued yearly per student. The total sum to be issued is N100000. In the case of a tie, the winner is decided by tie breaker based on the time of submission and verification of transcript.<\/p>\n
